    <dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[Part of mechanical logging involves chipping brush and other refuse which is subsequently used as bark mulch. Wood that is clean is chipped for use as a fuel in a bio-mass boiler. Wood that is dirty is chipped into bark mulch. Chipping for bark mulch involves a chipper with teeth instead of knives. This video shows chipping for bark mulch.<br />
Note how the top of the chipper unit rises and falls as it automatically adjusts the feed rate into the machine.<br />
The ability to access the chipper with a truck dictates whether or not chipped product is put onto the ground and then loaded or chipped directly into a truck.]]></dcterms:abstract>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Sarah A. Billings.  This photograph is No. 4 in Plate XIII of The South Worthington Parish Book by Reverend George Reed Moody.  Notes on page 98 state that she was born in Walpole, NH on 1817-10-17 and died on 1904-05-06 (presumably in Peru or Worthington). She married her second husband, Deptford Billings, on 1869-11-16. They had 6 children. Their home was in Peru, near the Worthington line.  Please see this book for further information. They were originally entered into the database with little identification. The photographs were taken between 1882 and 1907 by the Howes Brothers of Ashfield.  The origin and purpose of the number often written on the binding tape of these dryplates are presently unknown. The slides were cleaned and catalogued by Marion Sweeney between 1982 and 1986. ]]></dcterms:description>
